Learning to read is one of the most important skills that a child learns in school and this is a skill that starts as young as the age of five in a Kindergarten. I am currently the teacher in a Kindergarten classroom at a rural school in Florida. The students that I serve are five and six years of age. Many of my students are unable to speak English and are hearing to for the first time. These challenges do not stop them from coming into my classroom with a spark in their eye and a passion for learning. It is their excitement and curiosity for knowledge that keeps me going day after day!
