My Title 1 school is located in a city of approximately 12,500 citizens. The school population is a representation of low to moderate-income residents, with a small segment of the population coming from upper middle-income level homes. Per the 2010 census, the average income of the families in this district is $21,354, with the median home value being approximately $115,600. The total number of families with school-age children has decreased slightly over the last ten years. A majority of our students are on free and reduced lunch.
