As a Kindergarten teacher I want to motivate my young writers, challenge them, provide them with the necessary tools, and set them free to write! To do this I need to give them the know-how to do so. It is my goal to create a variety of activities that will help my students to develop their writing. There is no single method of teaching that is going to be a quick solution to problems in writing, but the materials that I have chosen will help me effectively instruct my students in our Writers' Workshop! Currently I have a wonderful group of 19 Kindergarten students. Our class was recently formed as a class size-reduction initiative. We are starting out in a virtually empty classroom and are in need of many basic materials. To best support and encourage my students I need to adjust my instruction to meet the needs and abilities of their varying levels. With the wide range of levels in our room there are a variety of supplies needed to meet this goal.
