I am so lucky to have the privilege to teach 7th grade life science! My students are such hard workers and are the sweetest group of young adults you'd ever meet. We are an urban school which may not look like much on the outside but inside you will find the best of what our town has to offer- hard working, caring, dedicated, creative individuals... and I'm just talking about the students. We are a Title I school which means our population has a lower income base. This means my students tend to need extra supports in many different ways-free lunches for example. Many of our students are often out of town with their families during the hunting/fishing seasons in order to put away food for the year. When they do have successful hunting trip I am always fortunate when the hearts, lungs, & eyes are harvested and donated to the science classroom for our many dissections in the year. Together students and I make memories, learn some cool things, and get our hands dirty with science.
