The class is full of students who are just developing a love of books as they develop newly acquired reading skills. When a package comes with books I bought, they get SO excited. They can hardly wait to see, touch, and read the books. We need books to help me as I strive to create a literacy rich environment for my students. Many of them do not have books of their own at home.( The school is a Title I school, with many students on free/reduced lunch )
