My class of 32 students (15 girls 17 boys) and come from diverse Latino backgrounds. Sixteen of my students are English language learners and seven students have a learning disability. Most of my students have not met proficiency benchmarks for reading or math. They need positive reinforcement improve their self esteem and work habits. Many students began the school year with behavior issues but they are making progress improving the class environment. My school is located in the inner city of Laos Angeles and it serves students a low socio-economic background.
