My Special Needs students are in grades 3-5. They are placed in a self-contained MD classroom. They have very little self confidence and do not do much independently. Our school is located in Appalachia, Ohio which is a low income area. We have a population of 1,000 students in our elementary school and a total of 2,200 in our district. 60% of our students are either on the free or reduced lunch program.
