I teach eighth grade Literature in a district where over 70% of my students come from low-income households. The majority of my students do not have access to reading materials at home. I have a wide range of reading levels mixed together in all six of my classes and it is a huge challenge to adapt to every student's needs on a daily basis. Because of this factor, they can at times be difficult to engage but I know they are eager to learn!
