iPads offer a range of music education resources that are not found in the android/PC world. Garage Band, for example, is an engaging and fun program that lets students mix their own songs. The iPad also has numerous applications to assist the teacher track student performance, participation, and attendance. An iPad in my music classroom will give all of my students, regardless of socio-economic status, access to the latest in music technology. We as educators are constantly being told to meet the students where they are at, and then elevate their knowledge and skills. Just one iPad can make that happen for these students.
