I am the coach of my elementary school's academic pentathlon team. This is a 9 student team that competes in this prestigious event. It encompasses five events (reading, writing, math, history, and science) where the students are tested on their competence in each subject. They are so excited to perform and do well in our meet in May. My students are from a low socioeconomic neighborhood and have very few opportunities to use updated technology. These students are so motivated to learn and garner as much knowledge as possible. They give a 100% effort in all they do. I am so proud of them. Any additional technology in the classroom will make such a difference in their learning.
