For four months of 2020 my students struggled with remote learning. Thankfully they all had district supplied chromebooks and internet access and were able to log onto my lessons...but could I see them closely? Could they really see me as well as they needed? The answer is “no” . My lessons were well planned out, graphically and audiotorially engaging, but they fell flat. I was unable to share all that I want to. In order to open the multiple screens I require and to be able to see to see all the students simultaneously I need to have additional hardware. My school laptop is not enough to be successful. I have done a lot of research on what additional tools I need to be successful for remote teaching. We know that at least part of this coming school year will be taught remotely. The monitor that I am requesting will be enable me to set up a virtual space in my home that I can dedicate to teaching students and to ensure that they are successful this coming fall.
