These materials will create a STEM-focused area in the library. By creating a LEGO wall, students can have a Maker Space in the library they can use to stretch their imagination and build 3D structures. The LEGO wall can also be used as a positive reinforcement where some of our more challenging students can earn time to build. A LEGO wall is a stepping stone to our goals of encouraging higher-level thinking in a fun and engaging way. Eventually, our goal is to add other Maker Space activities to stretch our student's creativity and problem-solving skills that will transfer to real life situations.
