We are a public school music program in a Title 1 school. Parental support is minimal and fund raising is tough. Many students struggle to get even basic school supplies, much less have the means to afford musical instruments and music supplies. We also started the only viable string orchestra program in Jefferson Parish which means new music and supplies such as strings, rosin, and bow maintenance. Our music program is being resurrected from almost nothing since 2012. Our students are worthy of support.
