My students are middle school age and live in a rural area. Our school works hard at providing for our students, but with the budget demands is unable to provide hands on learning materials for lab groups. My students learn best by working in small groups to conduct investigations. It is difficult to find materials for hands on learning for 200 students, but it makes a huge impact on their understanding of concepts and their enjoyment of science. Many come to my classroom hating science and my goal is to show them that science is magic and is around them in everything they do!
