Remember that teacher that always knew how to get you excited about learning no matter what the topic? The teacher that inspired you to read about Westward Expansion or taught you why a plant is green (chlorophyl remember?). This is the type of teacher I would like to be for my students. I don't want them to only learn the basics of the material but to get an in depth understanding of second grade material that will be long lasting. My students especially need this LCD projector to provide rich visual and auditory lessons. I teach an English Language Learners (ELL) classroom where many of the students do not have strong vocabularies. The LCD projector, with a SMART board (which my school has), and the internet will provide vast opportunities for my students to access the new vocabulary and content. They will be able to see it, use it in sentences, write it and manipulate it.
