Kindergartners should not be expected to sit at a desk for long periods of time to learn. Allowing students to have flexible seating will enable them to be comfortable and get their wiggles out while learning. Flexible seating has been proven to be a successful method for children's education. By providing different seating options, the students have a choice and control of their learning. I want to give my students an environment that encourages learning but also is age-appropriate. Kindergarten students are active and need seating that allows them to wiggle, kneel, or even stand to learn. My students learning is important; therefore, I know that flexible seating is the best choice for their learning environment.
