My students come from many different backgrounds. They are from countries all over the world. We have refugees from Somalia and Sudan, as well as, Alaska Natives from villages in the Arctic Circle of Alaska. Most speak several languages. They are diverse, unique and excited to learn. Our school is a distinguished title one school in Anchorage, Alaska. We are 100% economically disadvantaged. Our school celebrates the diversity of its students and their cultures. We realize that students come from many different backgrounds and each of our teachers works everyday to help meet the vastly different needs of each student.
