I teach in a wonderful little town. Many of my students do not have access to literature books at home and only get exposed the the books in our school library. This year I would like to not only introduce my students to good literature, I would also like to use that literature to teach reading skills and social studies. I think it is important to help children discover the connection that history has on their own lives as well as understanding literature devices that different authors use.
