My school is located in the second most dangerous city in America in an urban school district with a low socio-economic status. My classroom consists of 16 students ranging between the ages of 5 and 6 years old. I am responsible for teaching them all major subject areas outside of special areas. The children are learning at a wide range of levels that require a lot of differentiated learning, small group and independent center activities to reinforce skills they are working on.
