My students are from a rural and high poverty area. They are interested in learning more about history and I am excited to oblige. This class is particularly boy-heavy. They want to learn about the battles and gore, but they also want to find out how historians could possibly know about some of these battles. Our school is set in the middle of farm land, but our area was one of the earliest settled in the United States. Our area has a rich history, and our students are immersed in our colonial history from an early age.
