Chromebooks will allow us to provide differentiated instruction to students who transition in and out of the school throughout the school year. Students will use the Chromebooks to develop digital portfolios demonstrating their academic and social-emotional growth while they are placed with us. They will be able to demonstrate specific areas of growth and access individualized curriculum materials. To be successful here and on return to their base school, students must be fluent with an on-line graphing calculator, be able to research and synthesize information, develop digital presentations, create and keep track of individual goals, as well as read, listen, and respond to differentiated reading passages. Creating digital portfolios will increase student ownership and investment in their own learning and growth.
