I want my students to really see the value of reading when they commit to a reading goal. I am extremely tickled that they have met my reading challenge of 300 minutes and so excited they have chosen to read even more during our reading incentive program. I am requesting brand new books from our treasure chest. I want everyone of my students who goes above and beyond their reading goal to receive a special book of their choosing to keep the reading excitement momentum! I think having a variety of paperback books for them to choose from will really give them a sense of accomplishment. Nothing beats that "new book" smell!!
