My students are those growing up with the inner city lifestyle. Many face challenges at home with their families and their economic status. Coming to school is often a safe haven for students. Many students are being raised by one parent, a grandparent or foster parent. Our school is a small school in a very large district. Once students leave elementary school they enter the districts middle and high schools with many students.
