My students are full of determination, curiosity and grit. Sixth graders in a brand-new middle school, 30 students form our first school debate team, and we have already performed impressively in several city-wide competitions, including first place in our last match. These young scholars are amazing--persistent, intelligent, and full of desire to improve and grow every day. Our entire school just competed in an internal debate competition in Humanities class, and, as you can see from the photo, might have benefited from lecterns. A gift of four lecterns would not only help our Debate Team, but all students in class presentations. The ability to confidently speak effectively in public is a rare but special gift. I think this donation would really help my students improve and proudly speak with their heads held high and their voices strong and clear.
