My students need a bigger reading theme rug, so all the students can fit on it. The rug is very old and uncomfortable for students to sit on. Half the class has to sit on the hard floor to read, and to listen to stories. I want a rug for not only sitting, but a rug that I can use to teaches colors, shapes and the alphabet. My school is a low-income school, with over 90% of my students qualifying for "free or reduced price lunch." I work extremely hard to ensure my students have access to the same types of resources that many students in neighboring, wealthier school districts take for granted.
