IPads are a great resource in the classroom. It enhances the user/learner experience through the use of several applications that can be used by the students to work on science, mathematics or language arts. Virtual field trips become useful when teaching civics and social studies. Students can explore exotic parts of the world using Google Earth. I could also direct a lesson via NearPod and students can receive live feedback as the lesson progresses.
Students develop critical thinking skills by becoming content creators. Students will use the iPads as video cameras, audio recorders, and multimedia notebooks. The iPads will provide opportunities for students to work at their own pace and I intend to use apps and games to make learning more personalized to the student's progress.
