I am a teacher of Students with special needs. This year I am teaching a Self-Contained class with Kindergarten and 1st grade students. My students are faced with many challenges and unfortunately, in these times, so are teachers. Between budget cuts, an increased emphasis on standardized testing, and extreme education reform, it is becoming more difficult to do what we as educators know is necessary to help our kids. I strive every day to do everything in my power, but this is not always enough. With your support, my students can be one step closer to realizing their hopes, dreams and goals.
