Our class focuses on writing across the curriculum, such as: mathÂ" both compacted grade-level and advanced mathematical thinking, grade-level mastery of grade-level language arts standards, and in-depth exploration of science and social studies standards through ongoing research and higher level thinking applications. Technology will be an integrated component of everything in the Academy Classes through the class web portal, interactive shared collaboration (e.g. zoho), and multimedia content synthesis. Extracurricular explorations will include a parents-involved, year-long study in Leadership through The Seven Habits of Highly Effective Teens, After School Music Education, Shakespeare studies and performance attendances, web-design and online porfolios, service learning projects, and student business education and creation.
