My goal as a teacher is to individualize instruction for each student. Every morning as my students walk in the door they know today's learning is designed for them. Utilizing highly motivating instructional tools (such as iPads) and strategies has to be a part of this method of instruction. My classroom is diversely populated. Most students qualify for the free or reduced lunch program and live in low income housing. Many of the children are second language learners. Living in challenging circumstances at home can be barrier to learning BUT they are students who come to school each day knowing it's safe and that they will feel accepted. My students are energetic, curious, and are motivated to learn. These children motivate me to be the best teacher I can be.
