Having a classroom carpet will allow students to focus on learning instead of worrying about each other. A carpet would make it more inviting for preschoolers to come to circle time to listen to stories and sing songs . Having a carpet will make circle time flow much smoother. There will be more time to focus on stories instead of listening to students complain about who is touching them. Having a carpet to meet on will minimize distractions and help my students stay on task and be ready for Kindergarten. A carpet is a great visual aid. Students can look for a certain color, shape, letter, or number. A carpet would also help students be mindful of their own bubble and keeping their hands and feet in their own space.
