I am a special education teacher for students in 6th, 7th, and 8th grade. I teach in an adaptive learning environment. I have a diverse population of students with low cognitive abilities. Some students have autism, others have intellectual disabilities. I have several students that are nonverbal and enjoy listening to music and auditory books. I also have a handful of students who are non-ambulatory with visual impairments that learn via sensory (tactile and olfactory) experiences.
