My students are learning and emotionally disabled. Many of them are auditory, kinesthetic, or visual learners. They all benefit from hands-on activities. Another thing my students have in common is that many of them come from low income homes. Since my students have these delays, copying notes is not the hands-on activity I desire for them. If I am supplied with this element, I could create worksheets for them to meet their individual learning needs.
