The iPad's will allow my students to document their artwork digitally, to research and find inspiration for creating art, and to learn about the countless job opportunities they could choose as a career path later in their life. We will also explore with various art creating apps that will allow them to create digitally. Last school year my room had iPad's but the school district decided they were too old and collected them all at the end of the school year. Thus leaving us without the technology to use this school year. My kids were devastated that something that worked fine for our classroom was being discarded and there was nothing we could do about it. Graphic design, photography, and animation are all 21st Century art forms that my students will not get to experience due to the lack of classroom technology this year. My students will have the ability to use the iPad to go back and watch my tutorials and lessons at their own pace while they are creating their art. They can expand their original ideas by researching and referencing online. This grant would allow them to explore beyond the walls of my classroom while creating their masterpieces.
