My students all live in a rural area. Our school has a high mobility rate and is considered school-wide Title I due to our families' low socioeconomic status. Our small school only has just over 200 students and about 60 of these students are English Language Learners. In my class of 20, there are five students who are at various stages of English language acquisition. I also have two students in Exceptional Student Services (ESS) and a group of five struggling readers that are at least one grade level below 2nd grade. I do have some very high readers and some excellent future mathematicians!
