Sexual activity is prominent with many middle and high schoolers across the nation. Along with sexual activity, the use of drugs and alcohol is on the rise. The worse part is, kids mix the two and the results are difficult and heartbreaking to say the least. Many people ignore these facts and like an ostrich put their heads in the sand, but I believe that education is a lead to the solution for these problems. Exposure and knowledge are great places to start. The product that I will purchase will give the students hands on experience to what it would be like to have a baby who was born under the influence of drugs or alcohol. Each student will blindly draw 1 of 3 choices of computerized babies. Two of the babies will be 'normal', however one will be a baby with the issues that a baby born with fetal alcohol syndrome or drug addicted experiences. They will then have to take care of their baby for 48 hours in school and at home.
