My students are constantly keeping me on my toes! Everyday is something new! I have the quiet ones, the loud ones, the ones with a constant attitudes! I have found throughout this year - as it is my first year teaching - that many of my students do not have school supplies, at school and at home, that are needed in our class. I am constantly supplying loose leaf paper, pencils, white out, tape, notebooks, Kleenex, hand sanitizer, so on and so forth, out of my own pocket because they do not have it, or they cannot afford to buy it for our classroom. My students come from a low socioeconomic status area. It breaks my heart that I cannot help them more. It would be great not just for my sake but for my students', if we could get some much needed school supplies!
