My students are very energetic and love to learn. They require a lot of hands on activities to learn. My school is a Title 1 school where most of the students get free lunch. Many of the students come to school lacking the proper supplies to be successful learners. As a second year teacher, I have a hard time providing these needed supplies. This is why I have requested pencils, scissors, glue and headphones. It is important to provide as many different ways to learn as the children vary on reading, writing, and math levels. Because the children have such challenges at home, it would be great to provide them with supplies they need to make sure they are in a comforting environment. This is also why I have requested items I can used to make games and activities the children can take home to reinforce the material. These items include card stock, color paper, pocket folders, and book bags(for small reading books).
