Safe, secure metal shelving made for the height of second graders is an important safety need in my classroom. My second graders remove & replace their Book Boxes from the shelves several times a day. My current shelves are not safe. Safe, metal, portable and shorter shelving will be placed along the wall, giving students a safer access to their books. The old shelving actually fell onto several of my students as they were putting their Book Boxes away! Two tall bookcases are back to back - one side holds Book Boxes and the other side holds curriculum supplies, materials, games and books. The current shelving is not sturdy enough for the daily use they get.
