"Education is the kindling of a flame, not the filling of a vessel." -Socrates Despite of what their home life may be, our class is composed of students who come to school ready to grow their brains each and everyday. Most of my students come from larger families in a low socioeconomic area where they rarely get the adequate attention needed (especially during this stage of development). Lucky for us, we have a small classroom where we've created a family-like environment which helps us make learning fun and meaningful. My students have learned the importance of learning and growing our brains and enjoy coming to school. However, they often mention that their school isn't very pretty and they wish it could change, Since our school's budget is already very low, I'm hoping to find help from others in order to make our classroom better so that my students can be proud of it and excited to be here.
