Bolivia Elementary School is a school set in a rural community; a community of well educated, employable and socially responsible citizens. In the classroom is the only place some of these children are exposed to educational technology and other learning materials. I want my students to be excited to come to school, ready to learn and to know that they are all special. The school is committed to providing academic rigor that prepares students to be critical thinkers, problem solvers, collaborators and creative inventors. My students are very curious about the world around them and want to be readers. As a Title 1 school, many students come from low income homes and these families do not have the extra income to buy new books, have transportation to go to the county library or the funds for educational technology. The school is very accommodating, family oriented and parents are welcome in the classroom at anytime.
