Students will use bungee chairs and video game rocker chairs to increase their attention during independent reading rotations. They will also use floor cushions when meeting as a small group for individualized reading instruction. Students will be free to choose the seating that supports their needs as they work through reading rotations in the classroom. Many of my students have a difficult time focusing for periods of time while sitting in a standard desk. They need the ability to move throughout the day. Using flexible seating options, they will have this option and, in turn, the quality of focus will improve.
