My students are so special! They are culturally diverse children from a low-socioeconomic area in Southern California. They come from homes where they live with single parents, grandparents, foster parents, and two parents. Many of my students come from homes where English is a second language. I try to instill in my students a desire to learn and appreciate learning. I always use various methods of teaching, including technology to further their learning and keep them engaged. My students come to school every day ready to learn and excited to try new things. Unfortunately, my students do not have computers in the classroom. We use borrowed laptops (when available) to supplement their learning. Having our own laptops in our classroom to use along with our Voyager curriculum would be so beneficial to their learning.
