As a magnet school we serve children from urban and suburban settings. My class is comprised of approximately half urban and half suburban students. My students are a very excited bunch and love learning. They get very excited about science and technology, which is no surprise since we are a STEM school. My students also love to be challenged and take great pride when they reach the next level. All of my students know their reading level and get very excited when they get to the next level. I always make a point to share with the whole class when this happens so that the individual student feels great pride and the other students feel motivated and encouraged.
