We are an active and diverse group of 50 6th Grade students with varied learning, physical, and psychological needs. We are from a large urban district in upstate New York with a very high poverty and trauma level. My students come to school with so much on their mind that paying attention in class is the hardest thing for them to do, especially when you have to sit on uncomfortable chairs! My students need alternative seating that will allow them to move and focus on the classwork. This will lead to an improvement in their academic success which will in turn higher their self esteem and allow them to realize their potential!

About my class
