I teach in a rural school district in Texas where I am building a Theatre Arts program for High School and Junior High students. Because of finances, our school is not able to offer many electives, and I have worked to build a strong theatre arts program for students so that they would have an alternative to athletics and band. I believe that my self-proclaimed "theatre nerds" work harder than any other students at the school.
