Each day, 22 active learners enter our classroom. Some are excited about learning and ready to tackle new tasks; others require fun, hands on materials to entice them. Each student carries with them their own unique story - diverse family backgrounds, varying ability levels, and individual learning styles or preferences. Our school is a K-5 elementary school located in rural South Dakota. About 47% of our students qualify for free or reduced lunches. For many of our students, school is the only consistent and safe place in their lives.
