I work for a title one school. Most of my students are low-income students. We are located in Waikiki, Hawaii. My students are usually coming with little to no supplies and are in a constant need. My school has about 300 students and more than half are free or reduce lunch. We also have a lot of students with different social-economic, language, and cultural backgrounds. Living in Hawaii, it is hard for my students to be exposed to a lot of available supplies and materials. Students and teachers struggle to find school materials at a reasonable price. Each of my projects will help my students explore the world, teach them how to be good citizens, and make learning fun. These materials help my students become responsible citizens of society. At this age, students are a sponge to learning. It is important to expose children to all the innovative materials that are around to make their learning more successful.
