I teach second grade in a bilingual program in East Elmhurst. The kids in my class are all bilingual students who are trying to master the English language as they continue to strengthen their native language. Many of my students have only lived in America for a few months. They are still held at the same standards as a student who has lived here for years. Even with such a disadvantage my students are constantly trying their hardest.They are truly amazing and inspiring.
