I teach 7-12 Language Arts and Small Business Enterprise in a small rural school in Northwest Alaska. My average classroom size varies from 10 to 23 students. Many of my students love sports, especially basketball. My students are very connected to their culture of subsistence hunting, fishing, and gathering. My students get excited about reading books and magazines that can help them stay connected to the world and simply anything that involves sports or outdoor activities.
