My students are awesome! While they sometimes drive me crazy with their teenage drama, their personalities are big! They make me laugh everyday with their wit and astound me with their talent. They come from less than ideal living situations and manage to let that world fall away for a few hours everyday. Our school is full of dedicated faculty members who serve as role models and caring, enthusiastic educators. Our city is small, but in a big way! Once a booming railroad enterprise, people came first to work for the railroad and businesses came second. While the booming railroad is just a memory, the needs of my students remain. It seems as if our city lags behind other cities that compare in size, and it's time students get the exposure to the cultural awareness the arts can bring.
